I reported to the group on our group start in Waterloo -- we had five people show up for the meeting March 22. Jos encouraged the two pastors there to bring more people to the table, and encouraged me to do more work with the African-American churches before the next meeting on Tuesday, April 28. I got a call Monday morning from an African-American FM radio station. They want me to come up and do a live interview. I'm looking forward to that.
Our health care reform public forum is all set. We are just waiting for confirmation on the name of the Mercy Medical Center administrator who is going to be a panelist and then we can start publicity. We could use more ushers. Anyone interested in helping out Aisha and Leland?
There will be an opportunity for letter-writing at the forum. That will be our monthly letter, so be sure and make time to write your letter!
